Description
Letters are recorded from the author to family and friends beginning in 1944. Their origins included Guadalcanal, New Caledonia, and Guam and each told of the mighty way in which God was working – before combat, after combat, and even during combat to give eternal life to countless fighting men who received Him as Saviour and to provide peace during great conflicts. Some individuals mentioned fell in action on Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima. Others have gone into far flung battlefields as soldiers of the cross. Night after night when fighting and duties were done, the author secluded himself somewhere in camp to respond to the prayers and encouragement of people and family in America and Holland.
